When our county experienced a period of political disruption and financial transition, I stepped up to serve the people of Josephine County and provide stability and competent leadership of the treasury.
Since then, I have maintained continuity, reinforced internal controls, and ensured that public funds remain protected and responsibly managed.
This is a hands-on "working" role that requires both technical expertise and unwavering integrity. My daily responsibilities include reviewing accounts, managing department requests, and processing interest payments while authoring the policies that protect our funds. Our county needs a leader who understands these complex processes, refuses to compromise on established policy under pressure, and maintains a consistent, responsible presence focused solely on the best interests of our citizens.
The Treasurer’s office is responsible for the entire life cycle of our tax collection process—from issuing accurate statements and processing thousands of payments to navigating the legal complexities of delinquencies and foreclosures. It is a high-stakes job that requires a specialist. With my background in management and finance, and a firm grasp of the laws that govern our finances, I am prepared to lead with the competence our citizens deserve. I am a native of Josephine County, and I am committed to ensuring our tax collection process is managed with the highest level of responsibility and care.
Being the county’s investment officer means being a careful steward of your tax dollars. This job involves a lot of "under the hood" work—understanding complex investment cycles, following strict state laws, and coordinating with vendors to keep our funds secure. I’m not here to just hold a title; I’m here to do the work. My focus is on building a solid financial foundation for Josephine County, ensuring our community remains a great place to live for generations to come.
